Tick
Tasks
The Tick Task is a quick, checklist-style challenge where players mark off items, confirm they've completed steps, or select options like “Yes,” “No,” or “Done.” It’s perfect for to-dos, confirmations, or rapid validations embedded within your event flow.
Step 1: Open the Deckle app or try our web version.
Step 2: Choose your game type — Group or Solo.
Group Mode: Before the game begins, players are placed into teams. You can let participants choose their own teammates or have Deckle automatically assign groups through emoji matching. Each player receives a random emoji and must find the person with the same one to form a pair. This mode is perfect for building collaboration and encouraging teamwork.
Solo Mode: Players join the game individually. This option is ideal if you’d like participants to explore an area on their own, pick up new knowledge, or simply take on challenges independently.

Step 3: Enter the Manage Tasks page
Click “+ Task” to initiate
Choose Tick as the task submission type.
In the Task Prompt, name your activity (e.g., “Confirm you’ve picked up your event pack” or “Tick once your team has solved the puzzle”).
Click Done — your task is now saved in your collection.

Tips & Best Practices
Creating a Tick Task is simple, but to make it engaging, try using these optional features and best practices. These small additions can transform a basic confirmation into a meaningful moment.
➤ Add a Task Description
Give players extra context or guidance beyond the prompt. For example:
“Make sure your whole team is together before ticking this task.”
“Double-check the checklist in your welcome pack before marking this off.”
➤ Assign Default Points
Reward players for completing the task by adding points. This encourages participation and boosts competition on the leaderboard.

➤ Upload a Task Image
Provide a visual clue, reinforce branding, or show an example.
Example: Upload a picture of the event pack so players know what to collect.
➤ Enable Location Function
If the task should only be completed at a specific spot, turn on location guidance. Players will see the destination on a map before they can tick the task.
➤ Customize the Finish Page
Celebrate the moment or give next steps by uploading an image that appears once the task is completed.
Examples: “Well done!” badge, a branded thank-you graphic, or a clue leading to the next challenge.
